Can It Be?
Ever have one of those days where the stars align and everyone gets along, when the sun seems to shine directly on your little family, when moods are WONDERFUL and the excursions are idyllic, when your kids WANT to hold your hands and the magic in their eyes is SO real? We had one of those days!!!!! Even Caretta at the aquarium was cooperative and active (which we’ve never seen!)
The daily grind is a lot sometimes. The intense feeling of overwhelm that I feel sometimes is all encompassing. I see so many people post about these ridiculous perfect adventures with their kids all the time, and its so hard to not be jealous. And this, friends, is where social media fails us. Because everyone is not having these serendipitous experiences all the time. If I had to guess, I’d say they are as rare as it occurs for us;-) This isn’t the norm. But our normal doesn’t mean I hate every day that isn’t rainbows and butterflies. I adore those days too. But Mama’s gotta document while the striking is hot!
So yeah…I’m sharing one of those days. A good one. Where everyone got along and smiled. And I hope you trust when I say IT DOESN’T HAPPEN OFTEN! In fact, it’s the rarest of occasions. I am grateful to have it to document. I am so very, very grateful. And blessed. That is all…
